This week saw the nominations revealed for the 2026 Ballon d'Or, and it looks to be one of the closest-fought battles in recent years.
Several of the game's biggest names are up for what is the most prestigious individual prize in football, in a ceremony you can see live on DAZN next month.
Among the front-runners are Kylian Mbappe, who made history at this summer's World Cup, along with tournament winners from Spain, Lamine Yamal and Rodri.
However, according to Bayern Munich's Alphonso Davies, there's only one player right now whom he considers the best in the world.

Ahead of Munich's Champions League opener against Bodo/Glimt tonight, the Canadian exclusively spoke to DAZN and, in a quick-fire interview, revealed his best players in a series of categories.
Davies gave the nod to Toni Kroos when asked who was the best passer, while Cristiano Ronaldo was his choice for best finisher.
Lionel Messi was the 25-year-old's best dribbler, and then, when asked who is the best Bayern player of all time, he went for Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
However, perhaps the most telling answer came when the defender was asked who he believes is the best player in the world right now, to which he gave the most timely answer ahead of the Ballon d'Or season.
Davies immediately went for his teammate and the current favourite for the award, England skipper Harry Kane.
Kane could become the first Englishman to win the award since Michael Owen in 2001 after a season where he scored 72 goals for club and country and helped the German side win a league and cup double.
The Canadian star has watched first-hand the incredible displays from the striker and has named him the best current player around.
