Callum Paterson scored a second-half equaliser as MK Dons and Notts County played out a 1-1 League Two draw at Stadium MK.
Tom Iorpenda put Notts County ahead late in the first half, before Paterson’s 70th-minute strike earned the Dons a share of the spoils and denied the visitors the chance to climb above them in the table.
MK Dons’ Jon Mellish hit the post when a corner ricocheted his way, while Alassana Jatta had a strike saved by home goalkeeper Craig MacGillivray before ex-Dons striker Matt Dennis headed wide from a corner.
Notts County took the lead in the 44th minute. On a break forward, Nick Tsaroulla teed up Iorpenda, who slotted the ball into the bottom corner.
Both sides had decent chances in the opening moments of the second half, with Paterson firing narrowly wide for the Dons before County’s Jacob Bedeau volleyed over from a free-kick.
With 20 minutes remaining, Paterson equalised when he struck home the rebound after Rushian Hepburn-Murphy’s shot was saved by Kelle Roos.
