It's been a season of underdog wins in the Premier League, with unfancied victors across all the major winners in 2024-25.

It's also seen some new names fighting out for European spots in the table and David Dunn has reserved praise for one of those sides and labelled them as his unsung heroes of the campaign.

Speaking exclusively to DAZN News, courtesy of William Hill, the former midfielder singled out the work done by Brentford, especially the man in charge of the Bees.

"I have to mention a manager who is an unsung hero and that is Thomas Frank at Brentford," Dunn said.

"What a remarkable job he keeps doing and Brentford, currently sitting in 8th position are having a superb season. The quality of football they play is fantastic.

"A group of talented footballers, who all by into the coach and what he is asking is great to see. Mbuemo and Wissa have been excellent."

Dunn's praise of the West London side continued when asked about his unsung player of the season, too.

He continued to wax lyrical about the club and has been most impressed by Keane Lewis-Potter, whose displays this season he believes could see the player move on to bigger things.

Adding, "My unsung player of the season is Keane Lewis Potter.

"He is so talented and great to watch. So comfortable on the ball, he impresses me every time I watch him. Starting out in an attacking position, he has made this position his own on the left side at Brentford and I like him a lot and can see him getting a move to a bigger team soon.

"So full credit to Brentford, for once again showing with a smallish budget, they can secure a top half finish in the Premier League with the right principles and style of play."
