Sunderland will be a Premier League side for the first time in eight years when they kick off next season.
After falling as low as League 1 after the exit from the top flight in 2016, the Black Cats booked their return to the promised land with a dramatic play-off win over Sheffield United last weekend.
However, they will be battling a growing trend in the Premier League that has seen the three promoted sides face immediate relegation for the past three consecutive seasons.
It's a sign of the gap widening between the EFL and the Premier League, and speaking exclusively to DAZN News, thanks to BetBrain, former Sunderland boss Gus Poyet has warned the Wearsiders how difficult it may be next season.

He said, "After seeing what happened last year and the previous season and the season before, where the three teams that went up and then they went down, they need to stay up.
"That's it, but it's very, very hard.
"Very hard because the difference is massive. The level of the Premier League is increasing every year because the quantity of players, the strength, the power, the size and how big they are, it's a big difference.
"In previous years, I would say four, five, even more, 10 years ago, if you had any style of playing football, it would help you.
"Now, not even the style helps you because you need to cope with all the rest. You know the power, the quantity of games, the quality is very, very big."
