The Germany winger signed for Galatasaray on a free transfer from Bayern Munich in the summer.
The 29-year-old signed a three-year deal with the Turkish champions, with the club announcing he will earn a guaranteed £7.66million a year, external plus a loyalty bonus.
He will look to show Liverpool how good he is when the sides meet next Tuesday.
Hugo Ekitike - Liverpool
Signed from Eintracht Frankfurt for £70million, Ekitike has made a seamless transition from the Bundesliga to the Premier League.
He has endeared himself to Liverpool supporters after a superb start to life at Anfield, which included him scoring a goal in last weekend's 2-1 Merseyside derby win over rivals Everton.
