Juventus and PSV Eindhoven meet on Tuesday in Turin for the first leg of their Champions League knockout phase play-off tie.

The Bianconeri head into the match in good form, having won three consecutive matches. Their participation in next year's Champions League is still very much in the air given their fifth-place position in the Serie A standings, so success in the current edition could be even more important to the Italian giants.

Meanwhile, PSV are in a dogfight for the top spot in the Eredivisie and are undefeated in six matches across all competitions.

However, the Dutch side were on the wrong end of a 3-1 result when these teams met on Matchday 1 of the league phase.

Here's what to know about Juventus and PSV before their first-leg match.

Juventus vs. PSV: What the managers are saying

Thiago Motta, Juventus

(via ESPN)

"We played a good game against PSV [in September] at that point but a lot of things have changed, both here and there.

"[Tuesday] is a different story. [Tuesday] is a different game and we're focused on doing our job well. We saw in the first leg that we had some very good moments in the game. We took advantage of that and finished the actions we'd set up well.

"But at the same time, we suffered from their passing and possession. The arrival of the two full backs, who came in very well from behind. The midfielders who can give the team a bit more balance but also give the team a lot of space."

Peter Bosz, PSV

(via PSV.nl)

"Juventus for me is an absolute top team, but the same goes for PSV in the Dutch league. Top clubs have to compete for the championship, which is not the case with them for a while, but it's still Juventus. With them it is also just as changeable, just like with us."

Juventus vs. PSV: Prediction

An identical outcome from their last meeting in September would not be surprising, and a win should be the expectation for the home side.

Prediction: Juventus 3-1 PSV
