Omar Marmoush's first three goals for Manchester City powered the club to a 4-0 victory over visiting Newcastle United on Saturday.

Marmoush's hat-trick was scored in the 19th, 24th and 33rd minutes, respectively, effectively putting the match beyond doubt well before the halftime break. James McAtee added Man City's fourth goal of the game in the 84th minute as the Sky Blues cruised to a win that propelled them into fourth place in the Premier League standings.

Marmoush joined Man City in a transfer from Eintracht Frankfurt at a reported cost of £59 million three weeks ago, and the 26-year-old Egypt international expressed his gratitude to the club and the fans for making the transition to the English top flight an easy one.

"Amazing day, the feeling is crazy," Marmoush told BBC Match of the Day. "And the three points, we came in from the first minute and got the job done. It was all fast-paced, I was really happy to help the team.

"I also have to thank my team-mates, the coach and staff, everyone helped me from the first day making me feel part of this family.

"It was an amazing atmosphere, I would like to thank the fans for the really nice applause."
