If Manchester United are to move Alejandro Garnacho on this summer, Mikael Silvestre hopes it will not be to another Premier League club.
Garnacho appears to be on his way out of Old Trafford, with a number of teams interested in the Argentina international's services. The 20-year-old is reportedly no longer in United manager Ruben Amorim's plans as the Red Devils look to rebuild from a woeful league campaign that saw the side finish near the bottom of the table, and Silvestre says that it would be in the club's best interests to move Garnacho out of England.
“I’d imagine that after Amorim’s falling out with Alejandro Garnacho following the Europa League final that Manchester United will be shifting him this summer, but I’m not sure where he’d go," Silvestre told Esports Insider.
“I can’t imagine United would be willing to reinforce one of their competitors by letting him go to another Premier League club this summer. If I were them, I’d be looking to ship him abroad instead of giving him to one of their rivals.”
Garnacho has been linked to 2025 FIFA Club World Cup sides Chelsea and Atletico Madrid, as well as Aston Villa and Serie A champions Napoli.
