Benjamin Sesko says things are different for Manchester United under Michael Carrick because the players are free to play to the best of their abilities, which includes working hard for each other while also enoying their football.

Carrick has led the Red Devils to three wins in three matches after taking over as caretaker manager, with the team's latest victory propelling them into fourth place in the Premier League.

It's a stark contrast to how things were under former manager Ruben Amorim, who was sacked early last month as the team's position on the table fluctuated between 10th and sixth.

And Sesko, who scored Man United's winning goal deep into stoppage time of a wild 3-2 victory over Fulham on Sunday, explained how the approach to games has changed under Carrick.

"It's true, he has said these things [about playing with freedom] many times to the team," Sesko told Sky Sports after Sunday's victory. "That's exactly what we are doing.

"But it's not just that. You can see how much we work hard for each other without the ball and that also contributes to good results in the end. The work rate is definitely different. Everyone is on point and covering their spaces. In the end, that's what counts.

"The aim is to continue like this. We want to focus on our work and what we have to do. We have work hard like we are and focus in every moment. All of this is going to lead to great results."

Sesko has, like many of his Man United teammates, come under fire this season as the club struggled to find consistency under Amorim. The 22-year-old was thrilled to be a part of the Red Devils' latest victory and hopes that the momentum he and the team have built under Carrick continues as they chase a Champions League spot.

"That was unbelievable," Sesko said of his 94th-minute winner. "Scoring at home and scoring the winner is unbelievable. I've been dreaming about that and dreaming that I can do that.

"We all know as a team how important these results are. We are on a really great run right now and we are just hoping that we can continue to work hard like that to win games.

"I'm really happy that I could help the team out. We can continue our streak now."
