It's Matchday Two of the 2025-26 Champions League season, and once again, there are some mouth-watering fixtures to look forward to across Europe.

The campaign opened with several intriguing stories and some dramatic comebacks, and this round has the potential for more of the same, as Manchester City travel to France to play Monaco.

City's Champions League campaign got off to the ideal start with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Serie A champions Napoli, which included a record-breaking goal for Erling Haaland.

Pep Guardiola's team have once again been erratic in the Premier League, but few will expect them to come unstuck as they head to France.

The opening round was a completely different story for the hosts, as Monaco were soundly beaten by Club Brugge 4-1, so Adi Hutter will be looking for a response from his side.

Monaco vs Manchester City will take place at Stade Louis II in Fontvieille, Monaco.

Monaco vs Manchester City - the key men

Erling Haaland - Manchester City

The striker feels like he's back to his goalscoring best this season and hasn't been able to stop putting them away for club and country.

He hit his 50th Champions League goal in the last round, a feat achieved quicker than any player before him and you'd expect him to add to that tally in France.

Ansu Fati - Monaco

The one-time Barcelona prodigy has lost his way in recent years and is looking to give his career a reboot following a failed loan spell at Brighton two years ago.

Still only 22, Fati has made an impressive start to his latest loan stint with Monaco and could be the ideal game for him to put his name back in the limelight.
