The Serie A season has taken a break for the October international break, but already this season, we're seeing some of the new arrivals make a significant impact.
Luka Modric has been a revelation in Milan's midfield, while Rasmus Hojlund has found his shooting boots away from Old Trafford and is being fed by fellow newbie Kevin De Bruyne.
None of these names, however, make the list for the most costly transfers in Serie A history. So, which players are the most expensive in the league's history?

The largest fee involving an Italian club came in 2018 when Juventus paid €117 million to sign Cristiano Ronaldo. He'd go on to help the Old Lady win two Serie A titles in his three seasons in Turin.
The record fee between two Italian clubs is Gonzalo Higuain's transfer from Napoli to Juventus in 2016, when Juve paid €90 million to sign the striker. It is one of only two deals in the top twenty that involved two sides from the league.
