National League games this weekend: York City and Rochdale take centre stage in penultimate clashes
The National League title, and with it automatic promotion, could be decided this weekend as York City and Rochdale face key battles live on DAZN.
York head into the penultimate weekend of the season as league leaders with a two-point advantage over their rivals and will secure first place if they better the Dale's result.
With the pair to face off in the final game of the campaign, the neutrals will be praying that both can take care of straightforward-looking fixtures and set up the ultimate finale.
Earlier in the week, Southend United defeated Aldershot Town 2-0 to secure the final play-off spot, with both the top seven and relegation places now confirmed.

Halifax Town vs. Southend United
- Date: Saturday, April 18

Prior to the midweek fixtures, this contest carried significant implications in the play-off race, but after Southend snatched the final top-seven spot, it no longer bears such weight.
However, the Shrimpers do have the opportunity to leapfrog sixth-place Forest Green Rovers, at least temporarily, and carry their fine form into the play-off eliminators at the end of the month.
Kevin Maher's side will want to avoid a repeat of the Wembley heartbreak they suffered last year when they fell to Oldham Athletic at the final hurdle, but the top seven is stacked full of quality this year.
As for Halifax, their slim chances of making the top seven have ended, and given they reached the play-offs over the last two seasons, this can only be viewed as a failure.
Nevertheless, the Shaymen will want to improve on their draw with Yeovil Town last weekend and finish the campaign on a high.

Braintree Town vs. Rochdale

Rochdale know that any slip-up could hand the National League title to York this weekend and simply must take care of their own business against relegated Braintree Town.
It has been a rollercoaster season for Jimmy McNulty's side, having led the Minstermen with games in hand earlier in the campaign, but the reality is that they are outsiders to achieve automatic promotion.
Last weekend, the Dale left it late again to clinch all three points, with a last-minute Luke Hannant goal securing a 2-1 victory over Wealdstone on home soil.
As for Braintree, they have already been relegated to the National League South, but will want to give their supporters something to cheer about in their final home game.
The Iron were beaten 3-1 by Forest Green last Saturday and have failed to win any of their last nine games, meaning this should be a routine win for the away side.
York City vs. Yeovil Town

York will know that if results go their way, they could be crowned National League champions this Saturday, but they cannot afford to get giddy and must focus on beating Yeovil Town.
Stuart Maynard's men have surpassed 100 points and goals already this season, and while their recent victories have been narrower, they have been victories nonetheless.
The Minstermen defeated Tamworth 1-0 last weekend and have superior form to Rochdale, having won their last four.
As for Yeovil, after a slight scare, they can now play with freedom, having confirmed their fifth-tier status some weeks ago.
The Glovers held Halifax to a goalless draw last weekend, but have only picked up one win from their last five, which was a victory over bottom-side Truro City.
