DAZN's 2025-26 winners: Premier League Player of the Season

As the Premier League campaign reaches its conclusion, it’s the perfect moment to step back, take in the full view, and recognize the standout performers of the season.

It’s been another dramatic year across the division, full of twists and turns as usual, and a few individuals have risen above the rest.

DAZN News is revisiting the entire season to hand out our own honours across a range of classic end‑of‑season categories.

We've already handed out awards for the top young player , manager and best XI for 2025-26, so all that's left is to crown the Premier League's player of the season.

Runners-up

David Raya (Arsenal)

The Premier League's runaway clean sheet leader with 19 this season (so far), Raya has been nothing short of superb for the Gunners.

A true shot-stopper with the ability to play like a modern, ball-playing keeper, Raya has come up big on several occasions as he has once again spearheaded the best defence in the league.

Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United)

Michael Carrick will get most of the credit for the Red Devils' stunning turnaround this season, and rightfully so, but through it all was their captain putting in shift after shift at an extremely high standard.

When United were struggling, Fernandes was still making an impact. Now that they are flying high, the Portugal international is still operating at the same elite level.

Erling Haaland (Manchester City)

With (likely) another Golden Boot on the way, Haaland continues to prove himself invaluable to one of the league's top sides.

On the rare occasions that he went cold this season, Man City suffered in kind. But when the Norwegian gets going, he and his side are nearly unstoppable. 

And the winner is...

Declan Rice (Arsenal)

The straw that stirs the drink for Arsenal, Rice is a giant on both sides of the ball and is integral to everything Mikel Arteta wants his side to do.

Now 27 years old, Rice has grown into Arsenal's most influential player, and his ability to play nearly every minute of every competition is a big reason why the Gunners are where they are right now. An absolute monster in possession, Rice drives the Gunners' attack forward and can fight to regain the ball like few others when his team is defending.

It's hard to imagine Arsenal getting their first league title in more than two decades without Rice in the lineup, and that's because they likely aren't close to the same side if he's not omnipresent.
