The Premier League threw a midweek set of fixtures our way, and along with it some surprising results.

Starting with a nine-goal thriller between Fulham and Manchester City and ending with West Ham earning a late draw at Old Trafford, Matchweek 14 had no shortage of drama.

We try to make sense of it all in the latest Power Rankings, which are not meant to look at the overall picture, but rather to provide a snapshot based on current form, strength of opposition, and other factors. As always, these rankings are based on Premier League play only.

Here are DAZN News' Power Rankings after Matchweek 14.

1. Arsenal (—)

The Gunners just keep rolling, this time cruising to a 2-0 victory over Brentford. The growing injury list is a concern, however.

Next match: Dec. 6 at Aston Villa

2. Aston Villa (▲1)

Villa escaped the Amex with a crucial victory to keep pace with the other title hopefuls.

Next match: Dec. 6 vs. Arsenal

3. Crystal Palace (▲3)

A victory over Burnley isn't overly impressive, but they've won three of their last five and continue to fight for a European spot.

Next match: Dec. 7 at Fulham

4. Manchester City (—)

The Sky Blues were lucky to hold on to the lead in their 5-4 win at Fulham, which should have been much more confortable than it was.

Next match: Dec. 6 vs. Sunderland

5. Newcastle (—)

The Magpies are unbeaten in three after drawing with Tottenham.

Next match: Dec. 6 vs. Burnley

6. Chelsea (▼4)

Losing by multiple goals to a Leeds United side that had suffered four defeats in a row will knock you down a peg or two.

Next match: Dec. 6 at Bournemouth

7. Liverpool (—)

Their 1-1 draw with Sunderland was about the most you can expect from Liverpool these days.

Next match: Dec. 6 at Leeds United

8. Manchester United (—)

Threw away two points in the final game of the matchweek. The Red Devils don't make it easy on themselves.

Next match: Dec. 8 at Wolves

9. Everton (▲3)

The Toffees' narrow victory at Bournemouth wasn't too noteworthy, but three wins in four matches is.

Next match: Dec. 6 vs. Nottingham Forest

10. Tottenham (▲4)

Spurs' draw at Newcastle is overvalued here because of several teams dropping around them in these rankings. Still, an away point is decent for Tottenham right now.

Next match: Dec. 6 vs. Brentford

11. Brentford (▼2)

There's no shame in losing to Arsenal, but the Bees need to find more consistency in their results.

Next match: Dec. 6 at Totenham

12. Fulham (▼2)

The Cottagers were unfortunate not to complete their comeback against Man City, but the end result is another loss.

Next match: Dec. 7 vs. Crystal Palace

13. Brighton (▼2)

Simiilar to Fulham, Brighton nearly completed a comeback in a high-scoring game at home. But a loss is a loss.

Next match: Dec. 7 vs. West Ham

14. Sunderland (▲1)

Another draw for the Black Cats, making it three in their last five league matches. They still earned a tiny bump this week.

Next match: Dec. 6 at Manchester City

15. Nottingham Forest (▲1)

Forest were next up in the "guaranteed win against Wolves" sweepstakes, and they gladly took it.

Next match: Dec. 6 at Everton

16. Leeds United (▲1)

Stunned Chelsea to claim their first win since October, but they'll need to do much more to really start climbing.

Next match: Dec. 6 vs. Liverpool

17. West Ham (▲1)

Their late draw against Man United averted the start of a losing streak.

Next match: Dec. 7 at Brighton

18. Bournemouth (▼5)

The Cherries' woeful recent form has caught up to them, with their latest loss causing a massive drop.

Next match: Dec. 6 vs. Chelsea

19. Burnley (—)

That's five straight losses now for Burnley, who are saved by the fact that there's one club that's far and away worse than every other in the Premier League.

Next match: Dec. 6 at Newcastle

20. Wolves (—)

Will this team even earn another point for the rest of the season?

Next match: Dec. 8 vs. Manchester United
