The Premier League is now on hiatus for the September international break, but before players dispersed to their national teams they gave us another weekend full of action, surprises and everything in between.

Headlined by a top-of-the-table clash, some established powers rose to the occasion while others faltered, and a couple of sides earned much-needed victories.

We try to make sense of it all in the latest power rankings, which are not meant to look at the overall picture, but rather to provide a snapshot based on current form, strength of opposition and other factors.

Here are DAZN News' power rankings after Matchweek 3.

1. Liverpool (no change)

Another narrow victory for the Reds, but this one was against their closest challengers. Dominik Szoboszlai won't need to pay for a drink in Liverpool for quite a while.

Next match: Sept. 14 at Burnley

2. Chelsea (up 1)

The Blues' good start to the season continued with a comfortable derby win over Fulham.

Next match: Sept. 13 at Brentford

3. Arsenal (down 1)

The Gunners played their game and nearly escaped Anfield with a dull draw, which would have suited them just fine. However, Szoboszlai had other plans.

Next match: Sept. 13 vs. Nottingham Forest

4. Manchester City (no change)

Two losses on the trot heading into the September international break is not the way Pep Guardiola wanted to start the season, and Man City are looking at a huge drop in these rankings if they don't turn things around fast.

Next match: Sept. 14 vs. Manchester United

5. Newcastle (no change)

The Magpies are another side who are due for a big drop if results don't change.

Next match: Sept. 13 vs. Wolves

6. Brentford (no change)

A narrow away loss isn't the worst of results, but the Bees probably should have left the Stadium of Light with at least a draw.

Next match: Sept. 13 vs. Chelsea

7. Nottingham Forest (down 2)

Handing West Ham their first victory of the season, by three goals at home, will guarantee a drop.

Next match: Sept. 13 at Arsenal

8. Aston Villa (down 1)

Another side that lost by three at home, Villa are probably happy that the league has gone on break.

Next match: Sept. 13 at Everton

9. Fulham (no change)

The Cottagers fell as expected at Stamford Bridge, and their lack of goal scoring is a growing concern.

Next match: Sept. 13 vs. Leeds United

10. Everton (up 3)

One of the most exciting sides to watch in the Premier League so far this season, the Toffees are enjoying life with their new weapons in attack.

Next match: Sept. 13 vs. Aston Villa

11. Brighton (no change)

A win over Man City would normally prompt a decent jump, but Brighton will need to show more before climbing into the top 10.

Next match: Sept. 13 at Bournemouth

12. Bournemouth (no change)

The Cherries gave previously high-flying Tottenham their first loss, but climbing out of the mushy middle is tough.

Next match: Sept. 13 vs. Brighton

13. Crystal Palace (up 2)

A big road victory boosts Palace a couple of spots.

Next match: Sept. 13 vs. Sunderland

14. Tottenham (down 4)

Spurs came crashing to Earth with their home loss to Bournemouth, but this ranking may be a little harsh. It's on the team to prove so, however.

Next match: Sept. 13 at West Ham

15. Manchester United (down 1)

Late heroics by Bruno Fernandes secured Man United's first win of the campaign, but it wasn't enough to stop other teams from leapfrogging past them.

Next match: Sept. 14 at Manchester City

16. West Ham (up 4)

All it took to get out of the basement was a three-goal victory on the road. Who knew?

Next match: Sept. 13 vs. Tottenham

17. Sunderland (down 1)

The 2-1 win over Brentford was nice, but Sunderland will need to show consistency in order to boost their stock.

Next match: Sept. 13 at Crystal Palace

18. Burnley (no change)

A stoppage-time loss at Man United didn't afffect Burnley's ranking at all.

Next match: Sept. 14 vs. Liverpool

19. Leeds United (down 2)

Leeds will need to find a way to score at home, as scoreless draws with Newcastle won't cut it.

Next match: Sept. 13 at Fulham

20. Wolves (down 1)

The new bottom club in these rankings, Wolves are probably better than 20th — but not by much.

Next match: Sept. 13 at Newcastle
