All eyes on Spurs, but who's talking about the other teams in the Premier League relegation battle?

The Premier League comes back to life on Friday night following an extended break for internationals and FA Cup action, with plenty still to be decided in the final seven games.

Not least at the bottom of the table, where there remains a massive scrap for teams to cling onto their Premier League lives.

It's safe to say that both Wolverhampton Wanderers and Burnley are on borrowed top-flight time now and, barring a miracle, will be playing in the Championship next season.

That leaves one more hole in the Premier League trap door, with West Ham currently occupying that spot, but it's Tottenham, one point above them, who most fear for having failed to win a single league game in 2026.

Much has been written and said on the Spurs' plight as they return to action on Sunday with yet another new face in the dugout, having turned to Roberto De Zerbi to save their season.

But if it's not Tottenham who suffer a headline-grabbing relegation, who then is in most danger of running out of lives at the bottom end of the promised land?

Hammers not nailed

Following Nuno Espirito Santo's appointment in September, West Ham's season has ebbed and flowed around the bottom three without them ever really getting away from danger.

At one point, after a defeat to Wolves in January, many were ready to write them off and were even talking of a third manager being parachuted in to halt the slide.

Ironically, the Hammers now return to action against Wolves on Friday, looking to kickstart a run that would finally get them out of the drop zone for good.

The psychological advantage of playing before their rivals could be key, with a win at the London Stadium dropping Spurs into the bottom three.

The East Londoners then need to hone in on games against Crystal Palace and Everton during the final few weeks and hope there's still something to play when they face Leeds on the final day.

The right Wood for Forest

The break in play was probably the worst thing for Nottingham Forest following a first league win under Vitor Pereira.

That 3-0 victory over Spurs would have been the ideal way to see Forest put a run together to finally steer themselves away from danger following a forgettable campaign.

It's been a season of managerial merry-go-rounds at The City Ground, but they are hoping manager number four can right all the wrongs under the previous three.

Next up for the Portuguese is a home clash with Aston Villa, with both sides fresh off decent results in the Europa League.

It would look like they'd need to get something out of Sunday's game and next weekend's visit of Burnley to really help their cause, but after that, the final five get very tough for the Tricky Trees.

Chris Wood's timely comeback couldn't come sooner, and he could be the man who makes the difference.

Which way are Leeds leaning?

Then there's Leeds. Currently four points further back from the bottom three, and of whom many had already wrongly believed had got themselves away from the relegation fight. But it's certainly not the case.

The club's credible run across December and January was one that looked like it would be enough to save them from any end-of-season drama, but after just one win since the end of January, the worries have returned at an alarming rate.

Goalcoring has become an issue if Dominic Calvert-Lewin doesn't find the net, and they are currently on a league run that's seen them fail to find the net in their last four games.

They'll be hoping their FA Cup win will spark their attack back into life, but it won't come easy as they host in-form Manchester United on Sunday and then face must-win games against Wolves, Burnley, and Tottenham in their final cluster of fixtures before that final day showdown with West Ham.

Right now, Leeds need to find goals and find points or face being dragged straight back down.
