Matchweek 24 of the 2025-26 Premier League season won't fully wrap-up until after Monday's Sunderland vs. Burnley match, but the bulk of the games are already in the books.
This includes Arsenal's bounce-back victory, Manchester City's slip-up against Spurs, and a return to form for Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Here are some of the bigger talking points from the weekend matches of Matchweek 24.
Last week, the narrative surrounding the chase for the Premier League title focused on Arsenal's loss to Manchester United and the ripple effect it had on Man City and Aston Villa, who are the Gunners' main challengers for the crown.
This week the tables turned, with Arsenal demolishing Leeds United by a 4-0 scoreline, which was followed by a Villa loss and Man City's inexplicable squandering of a two-goal halftime lead on Tottenham in a 2-2 draw.
That all means that Arsenal have restored some of the cushion they lost last week, now sitting at six points above the Man City and seven points over Villa.
These little opportunities to increase their lead have presented themselves to Arsenal over the past few weeks, and Mikel Arteta's side will need to keep exploiting them as they chase their first league title.
Just below the title race lie Man United, who will finish Matchweek 24 in fourth place after their thrilling 3-2 win over Fulham.
It's an incredible turnaround for the Red Devils under Michael Carrick, who has now led the side to three straight victories after taking the reins from fellow interim manager Darren Fletcher. Calls for Carrick to become the permanent manager will only grow louder, but the club will likely stay the cautious course after their tumultuous era with Ruben Amorim in charge.
Regardless of what happens, it's fascinating to see the change in the way Man United's players approach games now. Carrick appears to have reinstated the swagger that was missing under previoius managers, and now it seems as though Man United players step onto the pitch expecting to win games.
They've already taken down Man City and Arsenal, and they've now added Fulham to the list of sides they've defeated under the new regime. While a serious run at the title seems unlikely given the sheer distance between themselves and the league-leading Gunners in the standings, a Champions League berth is now a very realistic goal.
Who would have thought that was possible even a month ago?
Have we already seen the best of Wolves this season?
The beleaguered club started the campaign with an unprecedented poor run of results, looking like they would claim the unwanted mantle as the worst Premier League side in history.
Then, just around the time the calendar flipped from 2025 to 2026, they started to earn some results.
First it was a draw on Dec. 30 against Man United. That was followed by their first win of the season â in Matchweek 20 â against West Ham. Two more draws followed, and it looked like Wolves would at least avoid the embarrassment of becoming the benchmark for bad teams in England's top flight.
And while that may still eventuallly be the case, they ended the month of January with back-to-back losses and are still sitting on single digits in the standings.
Their latest defeat, a 2-0 loss to visiting Bournemouth, extends their scoreless run to three matches, and they are now winless in their last four. It seems that any positivity from their short-lived undefeated streak has completely evaporated, and now they continue their battle with the ghosts of 2007-08 Derby County.
