Steve Clarke has named his provisional Scotland squad for the FIFA World Cup in the United States, Mexico, and Canada, where he hopes to progress the Tartan Army past the group stage for the first time in history.
Scotland has qualified for their ninth World Cup, which runs from June 11 to July 18, having previously competed in 1998 when the tournament was hosted by France.
The challenge will be tough but realistic this time, with an increased competition of 48 teams and up to three teams progressing per group, with Scotland in Group C alongside Brazil, Haiti and Morocco.
Clarke has included Southampton striker Ross Stewart in his squad, having not represented the Tartan Army since 2022, joining big names such as Scott McTominay, John McGinn, Kieran Tierney and Lawrence Shankland. Liverpool's Andy Robertson will captain the team.
Hull City forward Oli McBurnie has been left out of the Scotland squad, who will begin their tournament on June 13 against Haiti in Boston.
All squads are provisional until FIFA announces the final list of 26 players, following the submission of applications by participating teams, on June 2, 2026.
