After a summer of huge movement in the transfer market, the summer window will slam shut on Monday, September 1, as clubs look to finalise those last-minute deals.

So far, we've seen some big names join Serie A ahead of the new season, including Kevin De Bruyne, Luka Modric and Jonathan David.

Yet, amongst the mad dash to get deals done before Monday, there could still be some big names heading to Italy ahead of the deadline.

Rasmus Hojlund - Napoli

The Danish striker looks to be the biggest victim of Manchester United's revamped attack, with Hojlund not looking like being part of Ruben Amorim's plans.

The situation has alerted Napoli, who were looking to bolster their attacking options even before the injury to Romelu Lukaku and are set to bring the 22-year-old to Naples.

According to reports, the Serie A champions have reached a club-to-club agreement with United, which will see them sign Hojlund on loan with an obligation to purchase for €45 million next summer.

It will mark a return to Italy for the Dane, who scored ten goals in 34 games for Atalanta in 2022-23, before moving to Old Trafford.

Christopher Nkunku - AC Milan

AC Milan have lost a lot of options in their attack during the summer window and reinforcements are required before Monday's deadline.

The first of which looks like being the acquisition of Chelsea hitman Christopher Nkunku on a permanent deal from Stamford Bridge.

The Frenchman's career in West London has never really got going following a serious knee injury in his first season at the club and has since been frozen out of the picture thanks to the arrivals of Liam Delap and Joao Pedro.

The agreement is said to be for a €37m fee, plus €5m in add-ons and Nkunku will sign a five-year deal with the club.

Jamie Vardy - Cremonese

This could be one of the more interesting moves of the transfer window, with Leicester City legend Jamie Vardy in talks with promoted side Cremonese.

Vardy brought down the curtain on a glittering career with the Foxes this summer, but had been adamant he wasn't about to retire from the game.

He's been assessing his options over the summer and has been linked with moves to Leeds and Celtic, but the Italian side now looks ahead of the queue.

At 38, the former England striker still has plenty to offer, so could we be seeing a Jamie Vardy party heading to Cremona?

Elif Elmas - Napoli

Another arrival in Naples could be a return to the club for Elif Elmas, if reports are to be believed.

The Macedonian was a title winner with the club in 2023, before making the move to RB Leipzig, but the midfielder now looks set for a second spell with Napoli.

The champions are working on a loan agreement with a buy option and plan to offer the Bundesliga side a loan fee of 1.5 million for the 25-year-old.

Elmas would bolster an attack that is already looking like the team to beat once again this season.

Viktor Lindelof - Fiorentina

Manchester United's clearout this summer looks set to be to Fiorentina's advantage as they try to secure a deal for the former Premier League defender.

The Swede left Old Trafford at the end of his contract and seemingly not being part of the manager's current plans and now could make the move to Serie A.

Negotiations between the club and player are reportedly advancing well and Fiorentina have beaten off competition from Everton as the 31-year-old seeks a new challenge in a new league.

Tyrique George - Roma

Roma have made a habit of dipping into the Premier League market for young talent and, having already secured the loan signing of Evan Ferguson this summer, are said to be close to bringing Tyrique George to the capital.

Highly-rated George made his first-team breakthrough last season, notching his first Premier League goal and being part of Chelsea's Europa Conference League-winning squad.

However, with the Blues' new arrivals, the teenager may feel he'll have more opportunities elsewhere and has held positive talks with Roma ahead of a permanent move.

Chelsea are said to be demanding a hefty sell-on clause, but it's a deal that could work out best for all parties.
