While Tottenham Hotspur inched closer towards disaster on Thursday with a 3-1 loss to visiting Crystal Palace, Igor Tudor remains steadfast in his belief in the embattled side.

Thursday's defeat was the fifth Premier League loss in a row for the north London club, who now sit just a single point above the relegation zone. At 11 matches without a victory, Spurs hold the longest active winless streak in the league.

It's all dire news for the club, who have been in the English top flight since 1978 but are now in very real danger of dropping. However, their manager was defiant after the final whistle, espousing the need to stay the course and pointing to Mickey van de Ven's first-half red card as a major factor in Spurs' downfall in Thursday's match.

“It was two games," Tudor told TNT Sports. "After the red card, it was a different game. The second half, we tried. I saw interesting things second half.

"Very disappointed, like the fans. We need to stay quiet, keep working and believe. After this game, I believe more. Maybe sounds strange, but I saw something in the team. Even now in the dressing room after the game.”

Tudor, who has lost all three games in charge of Tottenham since his hiring on Feb. 14, said there was "some energy [and] some passion" present in his players, which he lauded. He also singled out individuals who he felt stood out despite Thursday's loss, as well as others he feels will help as the relegation battle rages on.

"[Cristian] Romero is coming with us [back from suspension]," he said. "[Kevin] Danso was good today, [Pedro] Porro is no different. Maybe some other players will come [back], so we can be complete. I think it will be good.”

While he was up front with how Spurs played on Thursday and their overall situation, Tudor made it clear that he won't be using a particular word to describe Tottenham's plight.

“We need to stop talking about pressure," Tudor said. "This is not a topic to speak about. I will not speak any more about pressure.”
