Chelsea looking to add attacking options

After defeating PSG 3-0 in the Club World Cup final, Chelsea want to keep pushing in the transfer market. The Blues earned roughly €120 million from the tournament and want one more attacking player as Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson could leave the club. The newly minted world champions are also keen to add a central defender.

The other Club World Cup finalists, PSG, want to keep Bradley Barcola. Everyone at the French club loves the player and a new contract will soon be offered. He is being monitored by Premier League clubs as well as Bayern Munich. As runners-up, PSG also earned a significant amount from the tournament and have made Ilya Zabarnyi one of their targets. The Parisians are expected to speed up negotiations.

Meanwhile, Jhon Arias is set to join Wolves after an excellent Club World Cup with Fluminense. Negotiations are advanced and there is now a verbal agreement for €20 million.

Alvaro Carreras will return to Real Madrid. The player was part of the Real Madrid youth system but has spent several years at other clubs, most recently Benfica. The transfer took time as Benfica wanted to keep him during the Club World Cup.

Real Madrid are also working to sign Ibrahima Konaté. The Liverpool defender has one season left on his contract. No offer yet from the Spanish club.

Going the other way is REal Madrid legend Luka Modric, who played his last game for the club last week. AC Milan have announced the signing of Modric, on a free transfer, to a one-year contract with an option until 2027.

While Real Madrid make moves, there is some turmoil at their biggest rivals as the situation between Marc-Andre ter Stegen and FC Barcelona is complicated. Barcelona players returned to training on Monday and Ter Stegen was in the gym and not with the first team during training. Ter Stegen is not currently negotiating with any club and wants to stay.

Meanwhile, Barcelona have not yet made a decision on Marcus Rashford despite links to the England international. Rashford could sign for Barça as a replacement for Ansu Fati, and while there is a possibility, there is no guarantee the club will push to sign him. The Manchester United player, who will leave his club regardless, dreams of signing for Barcelona.

Gyokeres to Arsenal

Viktor Gyokeres is going to sign for Arsenal, and the transfer has a 99% chance of happening. His agents are in London with all parties involved in the deal.

The transfer would be worth €63.5 million, plus €10 million in add-ons. Gyokeres' agents reduced their commission to make the transfer happen.

Also at Arsenal, Noni Madueke signed his contract with the North London club on Monday and the Gunners are also negotiating to extend the contract of their young talent, Ethan Nwaneri. Additionally, Cristhian Mosquera will sign from Valencia for less than €20 million, including bonuses. He refused an extension with the Spanish side and wants to sign with the Gunners. The central defender is set to undergo his medical.

Elsewhere in the Premier League, Samuel Lino could go to Nottingham Forest as the club likes his profile. However, he does not want to leave Atletico Madrid, which is why there has been no progress in a potential move. Thiago Almada is also an opportunity for Atletico amid Lyon's difficult situation. Concrete discussions are underway.

Finally, Rodrigo De Paul could move to Inter Miami. The Argentine has one year left on his current contract with Atletico and the La Liga club are open to letting him go.

De Paul's arrival in Miami is 85% assured, and it would be a form of confirmation of Lionel Messi’s extension in MLS.
