The Dutchman is under pressure.

Former Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke thinks that Erik ten Hag should be sacked if the team does not win the FA Cup.

United face a tough task to bring home a trophy, as they will take on Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City at Wembley at the end of the domestic season.

A win for Ten Hag might take the pressure off a little, as Jim Ratcliffe and his team consider the club’s direction in the off-season.

United beat Newcastle United 3-2 last night, leaving them in eighth place ahead of the weekend's final game with a win taking them a high as sixth, depending on other results.

Speaking to Fastest Payout Online Casino , Yorke gave his thoughts.

“If Erik ten Hag wins the FA Cup then he deserves another year, but if he doesn’t, then he has to go,” he said. “If I were to win two major trophies in two years, I’d like to think that counts as success. However, if they don’t beat Manchester City next weekend, then you really have to look back at some of the stats and performances throughout the season.

“If you look at where Manchester United are in the table – 19 defeats in all competitions, scoring the least goals they’ve ever managed in the Premier League and not playing exciting football, the numbers don’t really add up. It’s a very cut-throat business, but the numbers don’t look great for Ten Hag.”
