Kick-off was at high noon in Cincinnati, but the Mamelodi Sundowns came to play against Borussia Dortmund.
The Group F encounter in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup got off to a quick start with Sundowns scoring in the 11th minute against the German giants.
Lucas Ribeiro Costa gathered the ball inside his own half and went on a 60-yard run to score the game's opener, evading several Dortmund defenders and showing off his impressive breakaway speed in the process.
Perhaps most surprising was how easily the South African side darted past Dortmund's entire team en route to the goal, with Ribeiro Costa joined by teammates on either flank as the three-pronged Sundowns' attack bore down on a helpless Gregor Kobel in goal.
