Manchester United go for a fifth straight win when they visit West Ham United on Tuesday in London.
The Red Devils have been a renewed side under caretaker manager Michael Carrick, who has brought a fresh philosophy that has been well received by the players. Carrick has overseen an improbable rise up to fourth place in the Premier League standings for Man United — an unthinkable position just a few weeks ago given how poorly they had been playing prior to his second stint as interim boss.
Meanwhile, West Ham's fate remains as a strong relegation candidate, but the team's prospects have brightened considerably in recent weeks. The Hammers have won three of their last four league matches and are now within three points of 17th place, but they know that the margins for escape are incredibly slim given their woeful start to the campaign.
As such, they'll be motivated to win just as much as their visitors, setting things up for a possible classic contest on Tuesday.

"I think they’re playing very well, and they’re in a good moment. You can see that their players are confident, and we know it’s going to be tough because they have a lot of talent.
"It’s going to be totally different to the last time we played them. It’s a new game, and new things will happen. I think Manchester United have shown they have changed, and right now they are playing really well.
"We’ve looked at many things that they do, and Bruno Fernandes is someone we have to look at. He’s a fantastic player, and I have a lot of admiration for Bruno."

"I think they're very good on transition, very dangerous. They've got some really good attacking players. So, you know, we've looked at them already and kind of have an idea with that, as they will have done for us, you know? But yeah, they're a threat, they're a threat, and when they get a head of steam at home, they're a dangerous team, so definitely got to be ready to cope with all that.”
The stage is set for the Red Devils to win their fiifth game in a row, although West Ham will have something to say about it.
The Hammers have turned thrings around lately, albeit not to the same effect as Man United, and will prove a tough out at home.
Conditions are ripe for a draw here, and for the clock to reset on theunitedstrand's haircut saga.
Prediction: West Ham 1-1 Manchester United
