The Premier League has taken its penultimate international break of the campaign, and the cream has started to rise to the top in terms of the title race.

Arsenal have built up a four-point lead but will be looking over their shoulders at a hard-charging Manchester City side, with Chelsea, Sunderland, and several other teams capable of putting together a good run at the top sides.

The best teams are only as good as their best players, and there have been a number of standout performers so far.

Which Premier League stars have impressed the most in the first 11 rounds of the campaign? DAZN News' Rudi Schuller picks out some of the most notable ones.

Antoine Semenyo (Bournemouth)

The 25-year-old is a big reason behind Bournemouth's early season success, with six goals and three assists for the Cherries through 11 Premier League games.

Semenyo enters the international break as the third best goal scorer in the league and he's one of the hardest-working forwards on the defensive side of the ball, making him an indispensible piece of Bournemouth's squad.

His output has drawn attention from the likes of Liverpool, but the Cherries will need him to find another gear against the better teams in the league as he was held off the scoresheet in Bournemouth two most recent games — both losses.

Igor Thiago (Brentford)

Another forward from outside the Big Six making waves this season, Igor Thiago is up to eight Premier League goals already. That's good enough for second in the Golden Boot race.

The Brazilian finally seems to be fully healed from the knee injury that kept him out of action for most of his maiden campaign with the Bees, and the patience from both the club and player have paid off in spades.

Like Semenyo, Thiago is a tireless worker on both sides of the ball, with the 24-year-old averaging 1.64 tackles, 0.9 blocks and 1.89 clearances per 90 minutes according to FBFref, all of which are in the 91st percentile or better for comparable players across Europe's big leagues.

Gabriel (Arsenal)

It's not just attacking players who are standing out so far this season.

Arguably one of the most valuable players of the first 11 games of the campaign is a central defender, as Gabriel Magalhaes has been a monster at either end of the pitch for league-leading Arsenal.

His long-standing partnership with William Saliba continues to be rock solid as they form the backbone of the best defence in the Premier League and the Champions League, with just five goals allowed across both competitions (14 games).

Up front, Gabriel has shown to be a menace as he ranks in the 90th percentile or higher in major attacking categories. The 27-year-old has a goal and two assists in the Premier League, but more importantly, he's been a part of seven clean sheet performances as the Gunners set the pace in England's top flight.

Erling Haaland (Manchester City)

We can't forget about the absurdity that is Erling Haaland.

The Manchester City star is on an historic goal scoring run this season, with 14 goals in the Premier League already. He's only eight goals away from equaling his total league output from last year, with another 27 games still left to play.

If that's not enough, Haaland has been been just as lethal in the Champions League with five goals in four games, showing that no borders can contain one of the most prolific scorers of our (or anyone else's) lifetime.

Consider this: Haaland is scoring at a pace that would obliterate his own Premier League single season goals record. At his current pace, the 25-year-old would score 48 times in 38 games, eclipsing the 36 goals he scored in his debut season by a substantial margin. However, he is not likely to play every match for the rest of the season, but even if he equals his past two seasons and only plays 31 games, he'd still score 39 goals at his current pace.

If that's not convincing enough, consider his overall body of work this season for Man City and Norway. Haaland has 28 goals for club and country since the Premier League campaign kicked off, putting him at a 1.55 goals-per-game pace. Expanded over the full season, that would mean 106 goals for the big striker, which would smash the mark established by Lionel Messi in 2011-12 by more than 30 goals!
