Canada favoured in a feisty battle

Credit Qatar for coming away from the Switzerland game with a 1-1 draw, but if goalkeeper Mahmoud Abunada didn't produce heroics, it would have been a different story.

The Canadian forwards didn't fare much better against Bosnia and Herzegovina until Cyle Larin bailed them out, but they should bounce back against Qatar, who allowed 26 shots vs. the Swiss.

With all four teams in Group B level on one point after one game, this is essentially a six-pointer, so expect both sides to be going all-out to leave Vancouver with the spoils.

Jesse Marsch's side are far more talented than their opponents, and we're tipping them to be on the front foot. Expect Canada to get close to, or even exceed, the nine corners they had in game one.

With so much at stake, Alistair Johnston racking up fouls for the hosts, and Qatar likely to continue their streak of 2+ cards in 14 of their last 16 competitive matches, referee Cristián Garay should be kept busy.

Odds correct as of June 17, 2026. Recommended bets are advised to over-18s.
