KSI became the latest celebrity owner at Non-League level, having purchased a minority stake in National League South side Dagenham & Redbridge last week.

The YouTuber was in attendance for the Daggers' 1-0 home victory over league leaders Dorking Wanderers on Saturday afternoon and affirmed his intentions to take the club to the Premier League while speaking to DAZN.

In something of a growing trend, the 32-year-old has followed in the footsteps of some seismic names by dipping his toes into the world of Non-League football ownership as DAZN News looks at the celebrities involved in the National League and beyond.

When it comes to online followings, they do not come much bigger than the YouTuber-turned-boxer and musician KSI.

The 32-year-old, whose real name is Olajide Olayinka Williams Olatunji, became famous as an online streamer and has more than 17million subscribers to his YouTube channel.

He has also dipped his toes into the music industry and boxing and is currently a judge on Britain's Got Talent alongside Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon.

Speaking after the Daggers' statement win on Saturday, he told DAZN about his ambitions to reach the top flight and his desire to put the East London club on the footballing map.

Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney (Wrexham)

Whether you love them or hate them, there is no denying Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney's success with Wrexham.

The Hollywood duo took over the Welsh club while they were in the National League and have achieved three successive promotions, and have a realistic chance of achieving a fourth.

Reynolds and McElhenney are huge names within the film industry and were inspired to buy an English football club after being gripped by the Netflix series 'Sunderland Til I Die'.

With the Red Dragons eyeing a Championship play-off place, they could complete one of the greatest fairytales the game has ever seen.

The Class of '92 (Salford City)

Salford City are unique in that they were owned by a collective of former footballers, all of whom achieved great success in the game.

Gary and Phil Neville, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Nicky Butt purchased the club, who were competing in the eighth tier of English football, in 2014, having received backing from controversial businessman Peter Lim.

The Greater Manchester club have risen up the divisions with haste and are now competing in League Two with ambitions of achieving promotion to the third tier.

Just last year, David Beckham and Gary Neville completed a takeover of the Ammies as part of a new consortium, buying out the rest of the Class of '92.

Stormzy & Wilfried Zaha (AFC Croydon Athletic)

The music and footballing worlds combined when grime artist Stormzy and former Crystal Palace ace Wilfried Zaha bought ninth-tier AFC Croydon Athletic as part of a three-man consortium in 2023.

Zaha was born in the Ivory Coast but was raised in the borough, while Stormzy, whose real name is Michael Ebenazer Kwadjo Omari Owuo Jr., also hails from the area.

The South London club were promoted to the Isthmian League South East Division, which is Step 4 of the Non-League system, via the play-offs at the end of the 2023-24 season and are eyeing promotion this term.
