The next premium live event by the WWE rolled into "Sin City" on Saturday as Money in the Bank took place from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Despite no WWE undisputed champion Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar and Cody Rhodes, Money in the Bank delivered top to bottom.
The excitement started in the opener when Liv Morgan won the Women's Money in the Bank ladder match over Becky Lynch, Lacey Evans, Asuka, Raquel Rodriguez, Shotzi, and Alexa Bliss to win the Women's Money in the Bank ladder match. Morgan didn't waste any time cashing in the briefcase.
After Ronda Rousey had beaten Natalya in an excellent technical match to retain the SmackDown Women's Championship, Morgan's music hit. She ran down to the ring and told the referee she would cash in. The referee rang the bell, and Rousey nearly escaped when she locked in the ankle lock. Morgan looked to be on her way to tapping out. But she escaped and rolled up Rousey to win the belt with the crowd erupting in jubilation.
Then in the main event of the show, Theory, who was added at the beginning of the contest by WWE official Adam Pearce after losing his United States title on the show, beat Riddle, Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Madcap Moss, Sami Zayn and Omos to win the Men's Money in the Bank ladder match. The air was taken out of the crowd at the finish of the match of what had been an eventful show.
Also on Money in the Bank, Bianca Belair retained the Raw Women's Championship over Camella, and The Usos defeated The Street Profits to remain the undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions in what was the best WWE tag team match in 2022.
Here is what happened at WWE Money in the Bank 2022.

That finish took the air out of the crowd as the show was outstanding up to that point. Wonder what WWE sees in Theory that the fans don't see.

New entrant in the MITB ladder match
Main event
This should be fantastic.
Liv Morgan is the champ
Rousey gathered herself against the ropes when Morgan's music hit, much to her shock.
Rousey appeared to weather the storm as she had Morgan in the ankle lock. But Morgan escaped and was able to get a deep rollup to win her first-ever WWE singles title.
Very shocked WWE had Rosuey take her second pinfall in the last three months with the fall coming against Morgan.

Ronda retains
The crowd really wasn't into the match, but it was technically a superb contest. Lot of leg locks, ankle locks, and armbars.
It came down to Rousey reversing the sharpshooter and into a triangle armbar. Natalya tried as hard as she could to escape, but the pain was just too much to bear.
SmackDown Women's title
They are friends and have had great matches in Rousey's first run in WWE.
Do we get the same here?
The Usos win the best WWE tag team in 2022 but with controversy
All I can say is unbelievable, but the finish was controversial.
It was a back-and-forth, action-packed match that had the fans and myself wanting more. It came to Montez Ford hitting his patented Frog Splash. But somehow, Jey Uso saved the day. It led to both teams crawling to their feet and going face-to-face with the crowd on their feet and cheering for both teams.
Angelo Dawkins was on the outside when he got super kicked and dumped over the barricade. The Usos took advantage. They did a double superkick and then a 1D to retain the belts. But there was controversy as Ford's shoulder was clearly up. The referee missed it, though.
Have to wonder where this is headed. Shocked this is the route being chosen as it takes away from what was a fantastic match.
The Usos and Street Profits are stealing the show

Undisputed Tag Team titles
This is my pick for show stealer. All four guys are on top of their game and they are two of the best tag teams in wrestling.
The champ retains
Just about what was to be expected. Belair pretty much dominated. Carmella had the advantage when she slapped Belair, which woke up the champion. Belair beat her down until hitting the KOD for the pin.
We didn't see a Liv Morgan cash-in.
Raw Women's title
No one expects Carmella to win as she's a last-minute replacement for Rhea Ripley.
Could this be where Liv Morgan cashes in her newly won Money in the Bank briefcase?
New United States champ
Better than expected match. Theory hit the spear and then went for his A-Town Throwdown. But Lashley reversed out and applied The Hurt Lock. Theory tapped out immediately, and a new champion is crowned.

United States title
Expect this to be a hard-hitting affair. Intrigued to see who gets the nod.
Liv Morgan wins Women's Money in the Bank
Lynch was on her way to victory as she was alone in the ring. She climbed the ladder, but Morgan came up on another ladder. Lynch almost pushed her off, but Morgan bounced back into the ropes and knocked Lynch off the ladder. Morgan climbed her way to the top rung and grabbed the briefcase, much to the crowd's delight.
The match was sometimes a bit clunky, but they cleaned up the action and it wound up being very good.

Women's Money in the Bank ladder match opening the show
Hard to pick a winner in this one. The favorite on paper is Lynch, but the sentimental favorite is Morgan. Great way to start the event.
