Logan Paul: 'I knew if it went the distance, I won, technically,' against Floyd Mayweather Jr.DAZN
Logan Paul is happy going the full eight rounds against one of the greatest boxers of all-time.

Going into Sunday's eight-round exhibition against Floyd Mayweather Jr., the prevailing thought among many was that the former pound-for-pound great would finish Logan despite the fight being billed as an exhibition.

To the shock of those who felt that way, the social media influencer turned boxer went the distance with Mayweather. Paul views how the fight played out as a success.

"I knew if it went the distance, I won, technically," Paul said during his post-fight press conference. "But that wasn't the game plan. When you're fighting a guy like Floyd, you know, the legend, the boxer, you're kinda relying on him to figure out the game plan and just playing off his [work]. I think I got him with a good shot in that first round, which kinda threw him off a little bit. And yeah, surviving against Floyd Mayweather like is great. He's my second opponent. He's my second opponent. Floyd Mayweather was my second opponent, and so, yeah, I mean, you know, I'm happy. I'm happy. It was good. It was good fun."

When the bout ended, no winner was announced because there were no judges assigned. The only way Paul or Mayweather could win was by disqualification or via knockout. Fans criticized Paul for continuous holding, and Mayweather felt the 26-year-old made it all eight rounds for that reason, even though the YouTube personality had a 34½ pound weight advantage and seven inches taller.

"Regardless of my performance tonight, this is my third fight against Floyd Mayweather," Paul said. "This is like my second-and-a-half, third year in the sport. Like, what the f--- is going on? Like, let me get a little good. You know?"
