Eubank Jr vs Benn: George Groves makes prediction for grudge match
Former WBA super middleweight champion George Groves has picked Chris Eubank Jr to emerge from his fight against Conor Benn with the win.
Eubank Jr and Benn are set to clash this evening live on DAZN PPV at a sold out Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in what is one of the biggest fights of the year so far.
This contest is one which has captured the imagination of everyone in the world of boxing with Benn going up from welterweight to middleweight to face Eubank Jr.
Looking ahead to the bout, Groves is backing Eubank Jr to successfully deal with this high profile occasion after securing an early advantage in the pre-fight mind games.
"His best attribute in this fight will be experience and dealing with the occasion. He's won the mind games building up to this," Groves told casino.co.uk.
"Whenever the two have come together, he's been calm and composed, while being bullish and aggressive. He's never lost control of what he's been saying or what he wanted to put across.
"On the night, does that matter? It can do. If you win the build-up and don't take your eye off the ball with training and have the rounds banked, then you'll be fine on the night. He's got dangerous hand speed, and his jab has improved since fighting against me."

When it comes to deciding how the fight will play out, Groves is expecting Eubank Jr to weather whatever Benn throws at him in the early rounds before hunting for the stoppage.
"Eubank is probably thinking, I'll box him for the first few rounds and try to get rid of him in the second half of the fight. He doesn't want to take any punches early."
Groves and Eubank Jr have previous history after the pair fought for the former's WBA super middleweight title in 2018. On that fateful night at the Manchester Arena, it was Groves who came out on top by unanimous decision.
