Claressa Shields believes she fell short of an "A+ performance" against Lani Daniels as she recorded a unanimous decision victory in Detroit last week.
The American further extended her unbeaten professional record at Little Caesers Arena, to further burnish her reputation as one of the greatest boxers of all time.
Her latest triumph adds another major scalp to her catalogue, though it took a few rounds for her to field a chaotic attack from Daniels and take her usual command.
Shields believes that there was room for improvement in the ring, but speaking on The Ariel x Ade Show , stressed that she delivered and rose to the occasion.
"I am happy with my performance," she said. "It wasn't one of my best. It wasn't an A+ performance. I missed with too many shots.
"Her gameplan in the first two rounds was ridiculous. She tried to embarrass the whole sport of women's boxing with that.
"She's ducking a lot, and she's headbutting me at least three or four times. But I had figured it out. I didn't let her run for ten rounds straight. It just wasn't an A+.
"[But] to have 16,000 fans there, to be walked out by Rick Ross, I felt like Floyd Mayweather Jr., I'm not going to lie. It was so big.
"I live for the lights. I'm not scared of them. I work my ass off in the dark so that when I get under those lights, I can shine bright."
