Tim Tszyu can topple Errol Spence Jr., with Eddie Hearn viewing a victory for the former as "big for Australian boxing."
The former unified welterweight champion is expected to end a three-year absence against the Sydney native in June.
It marks a comeback for one of the most acclaimed fighters of his generation, but Tszyu represents a hard assignment.
The former WBO light-middleweight champion may have lost three of his past five bouts, but remains a domestic star.
Speaking with FOX SPORTS Australia, Matchroom boss Hearn believes Tszyu can deliver against the American too.
"That’s a really interesting fight,” he said. "They’ve picked Tim Tszyu as a solid comeback fight for Errol Spence.
"Tim’s a good fighter, he’s a tough man. He’s got a lot about him. I think that’s a tough fight for Errol Spence.
"[He's had] a couple of years out of the ring, obviously. I want to see Tim win that fight. That’s big for Australian boxing."
Tszyu is expected to take a tune-up in the next few months, possibly on the Lewis Crocker-Liam Paro undercard.
While a venue is yet to be settled for the latter pair's IBF welterweight bout, it comes as Matchroom expands its Australian footprint.
Hearn believes domestic success will only further aid the sport's growth on multiple levels, backing Tszyu to deliver the goods.
“Now we've got seven shows a year [in Australia], we need Australian boxing to be on fire," he added. "So good luck to Tim Tszyu.”
