Two huge fights happen Saturday night as undisputed women's lightweight champion Katie Taylor faces Amanda Serrano in New York City while Oscar Valdez and Shakur Stevenson meet in a super featherweight unification clash in Las Vegas.

There was some concern that the bouts would overlap, causing them to draw attention from each other. Stevenson himself stated in February that he hoped organizers would be able to find a way to shine a spotlight on both bouts equally, writing on Twitter: “I hope they can stagger the times for my unification with Valdez and Serrano vs. Taylor for April. Let the fans watch both fights.”

The idea caught the attention of Taylor vs. Serrano co-promoter Jake Paul and DAZN EVP Joseph Markowski, with the latter responding to Stevenson's tweet in agreement.

"Great idea, champ," Markowski replied to Stevenson. "DAZN Boxing will make this happen."

Fast forward to fight week, and the work has been done behind the scenes to allow fans to watch both contests unencumbered thanks to staggered start times for the respective main events. Taylor and Serrano will step into the ring at Madison Square Garden approximately one hour before Valdez and Stevenson are expected to make their ringwalks at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Vegas.
