Another week of major boxing action is done and dusted, with the landscape of the sport subject to both continuity and change aplenty.

Champions on both domestic and world level ensured their reigns will continue, while a promotional giant penned a historic new deal.

But at the same time, the sport bid farewell to one of its outstanding servants, while there's plenty of heavyweight intrigue at play too.

Here, DAZN News looks back at the week in boxing - and picks out five key stories worth revisiting as we head for the next seven days.

Liddard proves credentials again

George Liddard made a first defence of his British and Commonwealth middleweight crowns in fine style against Tyler Denny.

The star retained the Lonsdale Belt at London's Copper Box Arena by a decision win after building over his biggest bout yet.

Matchroom Boxing supremo Eddie Hearn has already namechecked veteran Liam Smith as a possible next foe for the talent.

Adames silences critics in style

Carlos Adames has courted some flak since his draw with Hamzah Sheeraz last year but he clapped back fine this weekend.

The WBC middleweight champion turned over Austin 'Ammo' Williams, two months on from their originally scheduled dance.

Victory ensures his reign continues, even if the star has run hot and cold on a reunion with Sheeraz down the line in the ring.

Conlan retires after Walsh loss

Michael Conlan never quite turned his Olympic medal success into professional glory, but had hoped for one last title shot.

Those dreams are over after a loss in Belfast to Kevin Walsh on Friday night, with the star confirming his retirement after.

It might not have panned out the way Conlan would have hoped, but he nevertheless bows out as a beloved local hero.

Top Rank ink new DAZN deal

The home of boxing got just that bit bigger with the news that Top Rank and Bob Arum will call DAZN home for the future.

A multi-year deal between the broadcaster and the American promotional giant will help usher in a new era for the sport.

"I’m confident it will be tremendously beneficial for fighters, fans and the future of the sport," Arum stated on the move.

Fury eyes Joshua amid Usyk links

Tyson Fury may have Arslanbek Makhmudov on his immediate plate, but the Briton is still chasing Anthony Joshua too.

As 'AJ' seemingly trains with old rival Oleksandr Usyk, 'The Gypsy King' is keeping his name at the front of their minds.

Fury, who lost twice to Usyk, suggested jokingly he could bring Lennox Lewis onboard if the Ukrainian stays with Joshua.
