Dillian Whyte marked a major step up in competition for Moses Itauma and the 20-year-old made an eye-opening statement by blitzing through the former heavyweight title challenger inside of one round Saturday.

Improving his record to 13-0 with 11 knockouts and putting the heavyweight division on further notice of his scintillating skills, Itauma has paved the way for much bigger fights ahead.

That said, DAZN News analyzes a list of three possible opponents for Itauma after his sensational victory.

Oleksandr Usyk

His Excellency Turki Alalshikh called for the unbeaten Usyk (24-0, 15 KOs) to fight Itauma after the Ukrainian devastated Daniel Dubois in their July rematch.

Itauma’s steamrolling over Whyte will only add to the groundswell.

Some will say Itauma, at 20, is not ready to test skills against the two-time undisputed heavyweight king.

Others will want to give Itauma the green light based on the eye test he has been able to produce in just over a dozen pro fights.

Former two-weight world champion Tim Bradley believes Itauma is not quite ready to test Usyk, while former heavyweight champ Tyson Fury gives Itauma the nod to run through Usyk and anyone else, pointing to boxing being a “young man’s game.” That is a sampling size of the discord that exists when it comes to Itauma’s next moves.

If not his very next fight, seeds are being planted for Itauma to test his brilliant sweet science skills against Usyk an all-time GOAT of the sport.

Whether it can happen remains to be seen.

Joseph Parker

Parker, a former heavyweight world champion in his own right, has been on a campaign calling out undisputed ruler Usyk for a crack at the Ukrainian’s crown.

He is also the WBO’s mandatory challenger for Usyk who is in possession of all four titles at heavyweight.

The business of boxing can be unpredictable, however, and what seems to be even a mandated collision course can be altered at times.

If Usyk vs. Parker does not happen for any reason, Itauma challenging Parker would carry intrigue of its own.

Both heavyweights rely on hand speed and movement with the 33-year-old Parker (36-3, 24 KOs) experiencing somewhat of a renaissance period, having won six consecutive fights.

That matched against Itauma’s youth and savagery would mark another must-see bout.

Agit Kabayel

The German boxer Kabayel (26-0, 18 KOs) is coming off a statement victory in February when he knocked out Zhilei Zhang in six rounds to claim the WBC interim heavyweight title.

Zhang is a former Olympic silver medalist with a rich pedigree in boxing so Kabayel defeating him in the manner he did, definitely boosted his stock.

If Parker is granted the opportunity against Usyk, Itauma taking on Kabayel would be alluring as well.
