Oleksandr Usyk believes Anthony Joshua will become undisputed heavyweight champion

Oleksandr Usyk makes his 2026 debut on Saturday, May 23, from the Pyramids in Giza when he puts his WBC heavyweight title at stake against kickboxing legend Rico Verhoeven live on DAZN PPV.

Currently, Usyk (24-0, 15 KOs) holds three of the heavyweight titles. Recently, Usyk made a hint towards what the future could possibly hold while talking with DAZN's Ade Oladipo. While discussing his training with Anthony Joshua, Usyk feels that in the future, it will be his partner and former two-time opponent who will be the one to accomplish a feat he's done on three occasions. And that's becoming an undisputed champion after recently writing it on a board.

"I believe. Yes, I believe this," Usyk told Oladipo. 

Watching and working closely with Joshua (29-4, 26 KOs), who returns to the ring on against Kristian Prenga on July 25 live on DAZN, in Spain since last year has reaffirmed Usyk's belief in the former two-time unified heavyweight champion that he could climb the extra step on the ladder and achieve heavyweight supremacy.

"Because I know this is (a) machine," Usyk said. "Now, he must work. He must change. 

"But I believe it's possible."
