Tyson Fury names the hardest puncher he has ever faced but is it Deontay Wilder?

Ring 6: López vs Stevenson on DAZN PPV - Jan 31

Tyson Fury is plotting his latest comeback, but who does the former world champion consider the hardest puncher he has ever faced?

In 2024, Fury was beaten twice by Oleksandr Usyk and following the second loss, Fury announced his retirement from the sport.

The news was shocking, but many within the boxing community expected Fury to return and it looks like April will be the month when he finally sees action again.

One opponent linked is Arslanbek Makhmudov and the heavy-handed Eastern European is back in good form after outclassing Dave Allen last year

Makhmudov is considered one of the heavyweight division’s biggest punchers, but Fury has had plenty of experience sharing the ring with powerful fighters.

After three battles with both Deontay Wilder and Derek Chisora, Fury has also stepped into the squared circle with the likes of Dillian Whyte and Francis Ngannou.

In his illustrious career, after climbing off the floor multiple times, who has hit Fury the hardest?

“Deontay, by far. Francis Ngannou is a big puncher, but I wasn’t really troubled by any of his punches,” said Fury when speaking to The Stomping Ground

“It wasn’t like dynamite and every time he hit me, I was wobbled or anything, it was just one shot to the back of the head and that was it. So Wilder is the biggest puncher I’ve ever been in the ring with by a mile.”
