Usyk vs Dubois 2 - Ricky 'Hitman' Hatton makes huge call in crunch rematch

Ricky Hatton has tipped a winner in the much-anticipated rematch between Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois when they meet for the undisputed heavyweight title tonight.

On July 19, exclusively live on DAZN PPV, Usyk will attempt to unify his WBA, WBC and WBO belts with Dubois' IBF title and become a three-time undisputed heavyweight champion at Wembley Stadium. 

Usyk already knows what it takes to overcome Dubois after stopping the British fighter in 2023, but this loss for Dubois sparked a career resurgence.

Three successive stoppage wins for 'Dynamite' followed, firstly against Jarrell 'Big Baby' Miller, then Filip Hrgovic which was followed by a knockout of former unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.

And British boxing legend Hatton, a former world champion, exclusively told DAZN News: “It’s hard to see past Usyk because he’s so masterful, isn’t he?

“But I think if anyone can beat him at the minute it’s Daniel Dubois to be honest.

“He gave him a good fight last time and there were the controversial low blows situation.

“But since then, look what Daniel has done. His confidence has gone through the roof and he knocked out Anthony Joshua.

“I think if anybody is going to beat Usyk, in this day and age, it’s Daniel Dubois for me.”
