Fabio Wardley has admitted that there have been some discussions regarding a possible showdown with Derek Chisora.
Following a successful 2025, a year when he became world champion, Wardley’s next move is being planned as he continues to be linked to the biggest names in the sport.
Following victory over Parker, Wardley was upgraded to full WBO champion and there are plenty of names being speculated as he prepares for his first defence.
One of those fighters is Chisora, and he is looking for a major opportunity in what will be the 50th fight of his professional career.
If he can mark that occasion by landing another world title crack, then a bout with Wardley appears to be the right fight to make.
Wardley has revealed that some talks have taken place, but his next move is still unconfirmed as he gets ready for his first outing of the year.
“He’s on the hunt, he wants a big finish to his career, he’s on 49 fights at the moment, he wants to finish on that big 50 so a world title shot is probably the best way to do that,” said Wardley when speaking to Sky Sports .
”So we’re having some broad conversations, some broad chats. I know people would like that match.”
