Jets' Kris Boyd shot, in critical condition at New York hospital

DAZN
NFL Game Pass sale: Rest of season for only £34.99

New York Jets special teams player Kris Boyd is in critical but stable condition at Manhattan's Bellevue Hospital after being shot in the abdomen at around 2:00 am outside a New York restaurant, according to a report from the New York Police Department to ESPN.

A Jets spokesperson said the team is aware of the matter but will have no comment on the situation at this time.

This is Boyd's first season with the Jets. He was a seventh-round draft pick of the Minnesota Vikings. The cornerback spent four seasons with the team. Boyd had pit stops with the Arizona Cardinals and the Houston Texans before signing a one-year deal with the Jets. Boyd didn't play a regular-season game with the team as he suffered a season-ending shoulder injury during the preseason.
