The Thanksgiving slate concludes in Foxborough later today, where a power-ranking mismatch still carries weight for both sides under the prime-time lights of Monday Night Football.
The New York Giants (2–10) arrive in bad shape, but with Jaxson Dart returning after watching from the sidelines as his team pushed the Packers and Lions hard in one-score losses, fans of the G-Men will be hoping for an upset win here.
It's a very different story on the opposite sideline, where the New England Patriots are chasing the No.1 AFC seed after nine straight wins spearheaded by the MVP-level play of second-year quarterback Drake Maye.
If you are not already a Game Pass subscriber, it's not too late to catch this one. Take advantage of DAZN’s 99p Thanksgiving offer, available for this, the final game in Week 13, and renewed again for Week 14.
Dart will be a sight for sore eyes, returning to the field following a two-game absence after clearing concussion protocol.
The rookies' presences elevate the entire Giants' offense, where wideout Wan'Dale Robinson and tight end Theo Johnson have emerged as real difference-makers in the absence of Malik Nabers.
On the ground, Tyrone Tracy and Devin Singletary will do the dirty work, aiming to keep the Giants' offense on track in the absence of first-year tailback Cam Skattebo.
Defensively, after the collapse in Detroit, interim head coach Mike Kafka moved on from DC Shane Bowen and elevated Charlie Bullen, hoping a new presence would bring discipline to a unit whose late-game collapses had proved costly.
Perhaps Bullen can help rookie edge rusher Abdul Carter recapture the form that tempted the Giants to make him the third overall selection in the 2025 NFL Draft?
With Kayvon Thibodeaux ruled out with a shoulder injury, Big Blue would love to see Carter finish his first year on an upward trajectory, terrorising offensive lines much like his teammate Brian Burns (13 sacks).
The Patriots are on a nine-game win streak, thanks in no small part to the scintillating play of quarterback Drake Maye, who continues to prove he has what it takes to become the next elite NFL gunslinger.
However, Maye faces a real test here. Can he continue to perform at the same high level with the injuries to his offensive line, where left tackle Will Campbell (knee) and left guard Jared Wilson (ankle) will be missing?
Maye's supporting cast, including veteran wide receiver Stefon Diggs, tight end Hunter Hunter, and ascending running back TreVeyon Henderson, must do their part once again.
By putting up over 80 all-purpose yards in each of his last five games, Henderson has what it takes to create a headache for New York's D.
The defense may be under more pressure than usual if the injuries to the offensive line limit Maye and Henderson's ability to sustain drives. Will losing standout DT Milton Williams to IR prove decisive? Not if Christian Barmore can help it.
New England are a near lock to make the playoffs, sitting at a 99% probability. They trail the Broncos in the race to become the No.1 seed, and after watching Denver win in overtime yesterday, they must keep winning to keep the pressure on.
The Giants are already eliminated from playoff contention. With that said, a win here would do wonders for confidence and, perhaps, set the tone for a rebound season in 2026.
Gillette Stadium, Foxborough. The iconic home of the Patriots.
The Patriots' home form (4-2) doesn't match their road record (6-0), but they are too disciplined to slip up, even with Campbell out.
However, with Dart back and a defense trying to impress its new coordinator, the Giants may keep this closer than the oddsmakers suggest.
Patriots 24-17 Giants.
