Week 1 of the 2025 NFL season kicked off with plenty of fireworks led by Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills producing a monumental comeback to defeat Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens.
Now we march full steam ahead into Week 2 headlined by a rematch of Super Bowl LIX with Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley and the Philadelphia Eagles swooping down on Arrowhead Stadium to visit Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Here, DAZN News’ Mark Lelinwalla presents that and more as part of five storylines to look out for in Week 2 of the 2025 NFL season.
Fresh off making his debut with the Green Bay Packers last week, star defensive end Micah Parsons will see if he could keep punishing Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels in a new uniform.
With the Dallas Cowboys last year, Parsons blasted Daniels for 4.5 sacks in two games.

Having already rung up a sack in Week 1, Parsons’ ability to put pressure on Daniels in the pocket could spell the difference in this big NFC tilt between the Packers (1-0) and Commanders (1-0) at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin on Thursday Night Football.

The Kansas City Chiefs get their chance to avenge the 40-22 thrashing the Philadelphia Eagles doled out on them in Super Bowl LIX.
That game had Jalen Hurts win Super Bowl MVP honors after airing it out for 221 yards passing and two touchdowns, while rushing for another 72 yards and a score on the ground.
This rematch carries extra incentive for the Chiefs who cannot afford to start the season in an 0-2 hole considering their 27-21 upset loss at the hands of the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 1.
Also intriguing is with two touchdown passes Patrick Mahomes will surpass Hall of Famer Peyton Manning (293 TD passes) for the most touchdown passes by a quarterback in his first nine seasons.

In his debut with the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 1, Aaron Rodgers dazzled with four touchdowns passes.
The Steelers’ home game against the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday has Rodgers knocking on history’s door with two records within arm’s reach.
With two touchdown passes, the veteran quarterback would surpass Hall of Famer Brett Favre (508 TD passes) for fourth place on the all-time regular-season touchdown passes list.
Also, Rodgers needs 244 passing yards to jump over Philip Rivers (63,440 passing yards) for sixth place on the all-time regular-season passing yards list.
At 41, Rodgers just keeps adding to his future lock Hall of Fame resume.

Joe Burrow and Trevor Lawrence each led their team to victory in Week 1.
That makes this AFC tilt between Burrow's Cincinnati Bengals and Lawrence's Jacksonville Jaguars all the more interesting Sunday in Ohio.
Plus, Jaguars running back Travis Etienne is coming off an 143-yard rushing performance, putting the onus on the Bengals' defense to find a way to limit him.

Following their rallying victory in Week 1, Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-0) visit the Houston Texans (0-1) as the first of two intriguing Monday Night Football games.
The second game will pit the Los Angeles Chargers (1-0) against the Las Vegas Raiders (1-0) in Sin City fresh off big performances by Justin Herbert and Brock Bowers in the league’s opening week.
Herbert notched 318 passing yards and three touchdowns for the Chargers, while Raiders tight end Bowers hauled in five receptions for 103 yards.
All of a sudden, this is a pretty meaningful AFC West matchup.
