Bellator 247 was set to have Paul Daley facing Derek Anderson in the main event of Bellator 247. But as things sometimes happen in combat sports, circumstances can change in a drop of a hat. That rings very true as there's a new Bellator 247 headliner, with Kate Jackson squaring off with Denise Kielholtz in women's flyweight action from the Allianz Cloud in Milan, Italy.
The new fight on the marquee is because Daley missed weight and had to be taken to the hospital due to experiencing severe abdominal cramps. Bellator went on to pull Daley from the bout and bumped Jackson-Kielholtz from the co-main event to the top spot on the card.
Jackson looks to get back on track in her first bout of 2020, having lost by unanimous decision to women's flyweight champion Ilima-Lei Macfarlane at Bellator 236 in December.
Kielholtz is the current Bellator flyweight kickboxing champion but also dons the MMA gloves as well. She's on a bit of roll, having won three consecutive fights with all of them coming via stoppage. Kielholtz last fought at February's Bellator 239, defeating Kristina Williams by first-round submission.
Even though Bellator 247 doesn't feature the original main event, Jackson and Kielholtz should put on an exciting fight.
