Paddy Pimblett should face Justin Gaethje next, says former UFC title contender and current X Series star Darren Till.
Pimblett is one of the UFC's fastest rising stars, with the 30-year-old yet to suffer a defeat since joining the MMA organisation in 2021. The British fighter is coming off a thrilling victory over Michael Chandler at UFC 314 in April and has yet to reveal his next move.
Till belives a showdown with former interim lightweight and BMF champion Gaethje is the right next step for Pimblett, and he backs "The Baddy" to win early.
"Paddy vs Justin Gaethje is a brilliant fight," Till told Plejmo. "I think it's going to bring a lot out in Paddy because Gaethje is a dog.
"But I think Paddy finishes Gaethje in two rounds. I think he submits him."
When asked whether a fight against Gaethje will help Pimblett's development, Till was emphatic in his response.
"Yep definitely," he said. "He's being put along the path correctly, I love it. "
