The most significant factor in the playoffs at times that no one can control is Mother Nature.

The weather can change a game in a moment and take a team from winning to sloppy plays and loss. We saw it happen in last year's playoffs when the Los Angeles Rams faced the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Divisional Round.

The game started with a bit of rain and cold temperatures.

By the second-half kickoff, it was a snowstorm, and the field had several inches of snow. The Rams fumbled three times, all after the snow started, and lost two of them.

The Eagles fumbled twice but recovered both of their fumbles and had a no-turnover game. The Rams had more yards than the Eagles, but could not overcome turnovers.

So we are going to give you the current weather forecasts through the AFC and NFC Wild Card games this weekend.

Could we see Mother Nature take over another big game and change the outcome? It is possible, especially since both games will be played outdoors this weekend.

NFC Wild Card Round

Green Bay Packers @ Chicago Bears

The longest rivalry in the NFL has seen its fair share of games that have been warm, extremely cold, snowy, rainy, windy, and everything in between.

According to The Weather Channel, the forecast has a mix of rain and snow during the day with a high of 38.

Around game time, the temperature will drop into the upper 20s/low 30s with the winds coming from the west at 15 to 25 mph.

If the game comes down to a battle of kickers, there couldn't be any better with the Bears' Cairo Santos and the Packers' Brandon McManus.

San Francisco 49ers @ Philadelphia Eagles

The 49ers couldn't have asked for better weather in January while flying from the Bay Area to Philadelphia.

At game time, the temperature will be around 46 degrees with winds between 11 to 12 mph, so tailor-made conditions for both teams.

Los Angeles Rams @ Carolina Panthers

The weather can be all over the place in the Carolinas at this time of year.

Luckily for the Rams, Saturday's game in Charlotte is going to feel somewhat like a home game temperature-wise.

Currently, the temperature is going to be around 70 degrees. But there's a catch, there's a 48 percent chance of rain during the day with winds coming from the south, southwest at 10 to 20 mph.

We could see everyone having a hard time getting around the field with players slipping, not being able to grip the football, throwing the ball, etc.

AFC Wild Card Weekend Weather Report

Los Angeles Chargers @ New England Patriots

Not the ideal weather conditions for the Chargers and ideal for the Pats.

At game time, the temperatures will be around freezing of 32 degrees, with light winds coming from the west at 10 to 15 mph.

How will this affect Justin Herbert and his surgically repaired hand? It sure won't help, that's for sure.

Buffalo Bills @ Jacksonville Jaguars

This is exactly what the doctor ordered for Bills players who are accustomed to frosty temperatures at playoff time.

For the opening kickoff, the temperature will be around 68 degrees with winds coming from the northwest at 10 to 15 mph.

Who do these conditions favor? One would say the Jaguars, as they get this type of weather for eight home games. But it's the playoffs, and it's a completely different animal.

Houston Texans @ Pittsburgh Steelers

Not promising conditions for CJ Stroud and the Texans, with game-time temperatures hovering around the freezing mark of 32 degrees. In a small bit of good news, the winds will be low, coming from the south, southwest at 5 to 10 mph.

The Texans better bundle up, have extra layers on to keep warm, and bring their own priest to sprinkle some holy water inside Acrisure Stadium.
