Arsenal aim to take hold of first place in the Premier League, at least temporarily, when they host struggling West Ham United on Saturday.
The Gunners have won three straight matches across all competitions and have lost just once in the league so far. They enter the weekend just two points behind league leaders Liverpool, and because Arsenal's kick-off is earlier than Chelsea-Liverpool they could leapfrog into the top spot and put even more pressure on Arne Slot's side.
As for West Ham, they are adjusting to life under Nuno Espirito Santo, who took over from Graham Potter last week. The Hammers are 19th in the league and desperate to climb out of the relegation zone, with Espirito Santo charged with keeping them in England's top flight.

Mikel Arteta, Arsenal
(via Arsenal)
"We want to continue to play and flow and dominate games in the manner that we are doing, and it’s going to be a key fixture. Obviously, we learned in the last two seasons as well, because we had two defeats against them here, and it's something we need to put right, and tomorrow is another opportunity to do that."
Nuno Espirito Santo, West Ham
(via West Ham)
"I’m thinking only about tomorrow. We still have one session to go [on Friday], so we’re focused on preparing for a tough match.
"We go there with a good record, that gives us confidence, but it’s a totally different game now and new things will happen.
"We know we are facing a very good opponent, with a good manager, but I think it’s going to be a good test for us."
The Hammers will hope for a new manager bounce but they aren't likely to get enough of a boost to overcome the Gunners in their own home.
Prediction: Arsenal 2-0 West Ham
