Chelsea are the  2025 FIFA Club World Cup champions  after a stunning 3-0 victory over Champions League winners PSG in Sunday's final.

Victory over the French side, adding to their impressive semi-final win against Fluminense has not just seen the London club set an historic moment by being crowned Club World Cup champions, to add to their Europa Conference League title, but has also help swell the Premier League club's bank balance.

Fans of rival clubs continue to be astonished at Chelsea's spending and their workings around the PSR rules, with the likes of Liam Delap, Joao Pedro and other summer signings already snapped up for a combined £220million plus.

But how much has their success in the U.S. helped cover these costs?

How much money have Chelsea earned at the Club World Cup?

Chelsea were awarded between £9.5m-£28.5m ($12.81-$38.19m) for just competing in the competition.

The exact payout for European clubs was determined on a FIFA performance criteria. So, we'd expect, being recent Champions League winners, Chelsea would have been in the middle to higher end of this scale.

Winning a group stage match in the USA was worth $2m / £1.4m, and a draw was $1m / £746k. Chelsea won two and lost one in Group D, meaning $4m / £2.8m in prize money.

For reaching the last-16 Enzo Maresca's side then received an extra $7.5m / £5.5m, before an extra $13.125m / £9.7m for defeating Benfica and making the quarter-finals.

A tense victory over Palmeiras secured another $21.0m / £15.6m in the Chelsea bank account.

Chelsea then took on another Brazilian side in the semi-finals, easing past Fluminense to earn another $30m / £22.3m.

Winning the tournament gave them another eye watering $40m / £29.8m.

Therefore, in total Chelsea have won   $115m / £86.2m in prize money , on top of the participation payout already in their pocket. So in full total this would be a minimum of  $131m / £95.7m, a max of $153m / £114.7m .

Has the Club World Cup paid for Pedro Neto, Liam Delap and other Chelsea signings?

So, we can say that Chlesea's Club World Cup earnings for winning the whole thing has paid for most of their recent signings and gives them space for more inbound signings.

The £30million signing of striker Liam Delap from Ipswich has been covered by the Club World Cup prize money.

Pedro Neto's £60m fee from Brighton, which is already looking a bargin after his double in the semi-finals and strike in the final, is paid off too.

Palmeiras winger Estevao Willian, who Chelsea signed earlier this year with the agreement he would join the London club after this competition cost £29m. So, lifting the trophy has covered this fee too.
