Meanwhile, Liverpool finally tasted defeat last weekend when they fell 2-1 at Crystal Palace. The Reds had won all six of their previous Premier League games and were starting to pull away from the rest of the title challengers before Palace showed that they could be beaten.
Things took a turn for the worse a few days later as the Reds travelled to Turkiye for Champions League action and fell 1-0 to Galatasaray, given them back-to-back losses across all competitions.
