Louis Saha has named Paris Saint-Germain as the favourites to win the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, but he would not be surprised if Chelsea left the MetLife Stadium on Sunday as champions.

The teams are on a collision course after each comfortably won their respective semi-final match, but PSG's red-hot form this summer — which started with their 5-0 domination of Inter Milan in the Champions League final — has led many to predict a Club World Cup victory for the French giants this weekend.

Saha is among those who lean towards the Parisians, but the retired Premier League striker believes the Blues have enough quality in their squad to cause an upset.

"Both teams have shown tremendous quality up to this point, individually Chelsea, but more as a team PSG. So definitely PSG are the favourites," Saha said while speaking to BoyleSports, who offer the latest Club World Cup odds.

"But, it's the final, so I can see Chelsea upsetting PSG. It wouldn't be a surprise to me. In these tournaments at the end of the year everyone is tired and can make mistakes.

"I do think that PSG, if they play the way they can play, is going to be a challenge for Chelsea. Chelsea still make mistakes due to a lack of experience and young players, although they can do amazing things."

One area in which Saha thinks Chelsea could trouble PSG is up front, where the London club now boast a number of threats.

"Joao Pedro is a good player, very active, almost impossible to contain to zero chances," he said. "He can create his own chances.

"He’s that type of profile, he's tall, he can hold the ball, he can go left, can go right. He’s a very dangerous player.

"Those two goals [in the semi-final], it's the start. He has momentum and alongside Cole Palmer, you can see they're gonna create a lot of chances.

"With Pedro, Liam Delap and Palmer, Chelsea are a very dangerous team."
