A World Cup draw isn't just about the teams finding out their opponents and match venues, as the event also officially starts the countdown to one of the biggest shows on Earth.

That means glitz, glamour and celebrity as some of the biggest personalities in the world gather to help celebrate the tournament and the sport.

The draw for the 2026 World Cup will be no different, as FIFA has assembled some of the most popular names in entertainment to add flair to the proceedings. 

Here's what we know.

Who are the hosts of the FIFA World Cup 26 draw?

FIFA has enlisted three popular personalities to act as hosts throughout the ceremony.

Comedian and actor Kevin Hart will host alongside supermodel and television personality Heidi Klum and actor Danny Ramirez .

Klum returns as a World Cup draw host after performing similar duties ahead of the 2006 tournament in her native Germany.

“To be hosting the final draw again, after having been involved in this show 20 years ago in my home country, is truly extraordinary,” Klum said in a statement . “The World Cup brings the world together like nothing else, and being part of that magic again, on an even bigger stage involving three host countries and 48 teams, is an incredible honour.”

Who is performing during the FIFA World Cup 26 draw?

In addition to the star power of the hosts, FIFA announced that globally recognized musicians Andrea Bocelli , Robbie Williams , Nicole Scherzinger and  Village People will all perform during the show.

FIFA Music Ambassador Williams will perform with Scherzinger, while Italian tenor Bocelli is expected to provide a solo performance. Village People will perform their beloved anthem  Y.M.C.A. after the draw has concluded.

Who will conduct the FIFA World Cup 26 draw?

England legend Rio Ferdinand will serve as the conductor, with broadcaster Samantha Johnson as his co-conductor.

“To conduct this historic draw is an unbelievable honour,” Ferdinand said in  a statement . “As a player, I lived for these global stages – now I’m humbled to play a different, special role together with an incredible line-up to reveal the 12 groups of four teams that the whole world is waiting for.”

Joining Ferdinand and Johnson on stage is an assortment of icons from across North American sports, as Tom Brady Shaquille O’Neal , Wayne Gretzky and Aaron Judge will serve as draw assistants.

Additionally, Eli Manning will take part in the event as the red carpet host.

When is the FIFA World Cup 26 draw?  Where is it being held?

The draw takes place on Friday, December 5 , at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., at 12pm local time (ET), which is 9am PT. That's 5pm GMT in the UK and 6pm CET. 

US President Donald Trump and FIFA President Gianni Infantino will make the draw.
